There are some islands in the Family Island game that are not closed, even after completion of the main quest or when moving to the next map.

Mysterious Island not close
To close Mysterious Island, you need to find the mysterious egg, use it to improve the pyramid on home island and travel to Invention island.
Here, make sure that you finish all the side quests before moving to the next map.
Balancer Island, Sapphire Island or Maze Island not close
These three islands are last in their storyline. In game there is no continuation yet, so Islands remain open.
These open islands do not affect the subsequent islands. Also, you can use them as temporary additional sources of resources.
Invention Island not close
Invention Island will close after players traveled to Iron island at level 45.
Hippo Island, Raccoon Island, Ribbiting Island or Turtle Island not close
Hippo Island, Raccoon Island, Ribbiting Island and Turtle Island are connected in one story line. You need to complete an additional task(improve the flower bowl decoration) on your home island to move from one island to another.
To upgrade the bowl, use the blueprints which are found on these four Islands.
