Swords have a limited range of moves and short reach. Sword Mastery plays a key role in their effectiveness.
They work best when combined with other attacks and can become stronger when paired with certain Devil Fruits.
In the GPO game, swords are separated with Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, and Collectable rarities. And based on rarity, there are drop rates and obtainment methods for a sword.
