Lidia Sobieska Release Dates
During the Tekken Talk live stream, it was revealed that Lidia Sobieska will be released for early access on July 22, 2024. The official release for all players will be on July 25, 2024. These dates are for the U.S. Pacific time zone, so players in Europe and Japan will get access a day later.
Update Timing and Details
Lidia’s release comes right after Evo 2024. The v1.06 update for Tekken 8 will also go live on July 22nd. This update includes behavior fixes but no battle balance adjustments. More updates are planned after August.
New Beach Stage: Seaside Resort
A new stage called Seaside Resort will be available for free with Lidia’s update. The stage features a time shift from daytime to sunset to night as the round progresses. A new photo mode will also be added to the game.

A new starter guide and early gameplay footage showed Lidia’s four stances: Cat, Horse, Striking Wolf, and Heaven & Earth. Her gameplay focuses on constant stance changes to confuse opponents. Many of her moves automatically transition into these stances, whether they hit or are blocked.
Her Heaven & Earth Stance is unique, as it can only be activated in Heat Mode. This stance gives her a charge that permanently increases her move damage, which can stack up to three times. However, she is weak against Power Crush moves and side steps, and has limited low attacks.
Alternative Costumes
The Tekken 8 team also showed off Lidia’s three alternative costumes, in addition to her default outfit.
