Once you get Zoey’s phone in An Elmwood Trail, you’ll notice a Diary app with several locked pages. These pages are unlocked as you progress through the story.
Each page contains a short riddle or poem you must solve using clues found on Zoey’s phone or websites in the game.
You’ll only be able to unlock a diary page when the story allows it—so don’t worry if one seems unavailable early on. You’ll get a prompt when it’s time.
Below is a simple guide to each diary page, including: Zoey’s clue, A helpful hint, The correct solution.
Diary Page 1 – After Interrogating Betty
Clue:
“I pedal down the streets,
racing wind so bold and swift.
Been using it forever,
it was the one and perfect gift.”
Hint: Think about something Zoey rides. Check the Gallery for a picture of it.
Solution:

Diary Page 2 – After Talking to Kyle
Clue:
“I can let time be free,
watch it fly away like a bird.
Or I can freeze it into moments,
while its hands spell out a word.”
Hint: Look at clocks in Zoey’s photos. Focus on the clock hands and what they point to.
Solution:

Diary Page 3 – After Speaking with Zoey’s Mom
Clue:
“Memories captured and shared,
but it’s the hearts that they seek.
Visit me and when you do,
read the firsts of what I speak.”
Hint: Open Zoey’s Pixabowl account. Check her captioned posts.
Solution:

Diary Page 4 – After Riverstone Car Wash Call (Feb 17)
Clue:
“Where I always find myself,
in times of blue and in times of gray.
Not many visit this cursed place,
that screams the words: stay away.”
Hint: Use Adam’s phone browser. Search for info on Riverstone and the Elmwood forest.
Solution:
ISLE
(Found in a photo of a tree sign that now reads “Stay Away” but originally said “Lake Isle”)
Tips
- Only try to unlock pages after being prompted by the game.
- Use Zoey’s Gallery, Browser, and Pixabowl for key clues.
- Focus on photos, posts, and objects mentioned in clues – each word matters.
