Steam automatically saves your screenshots to a hidden folder in your computer’s file system. You can find it in two ways:
1. Find Steam Screenshots Using the Steam App
- Open Steam.
- Click View in the top menu.
- Select Screenshots.
- Click [Show on Disk] to open the folder where your screenshots are saved.
2. Find Steam Screenshot Folder on Windows, Mac, or Linux
You can locate the screenshot folder manually in your file system:
Your screenshots are saved in this folder path (replace <Steam ID>
and <Game ID>
with your own numbers):
- Windows:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\<Steam ID>\760\remote\<Game ID>\screenshots
- Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/Steam/userdata/<Steam ID>/760/remote/<Game ID>/screenshots
- Linux:
~/.local/share/Steam/userdata/<Steam ID>/760/remote/<Game ID>/screenshots
Tip: Your Steam ID is a long number tied to your account, and each game has its own unique Game ID. You can explore inside the userdata
folder to find them.
