In this guide, you’ll find:

  • How to apply and boost acceptance chances
  • All scholarships to help pay for college
  • Lists of every degree and what your Sim gets from Honors

We also have 13 extra pages linked below for full details on each degree and tips to match skills to scholarships. Let’s get your Sim into the best program.

Top Degrees & Honors

Degrees come as:

  • Gold: Distinguished (harder to get into, better career boosts)
  • Silver: Regular

Each school has its strengths:

  • Britechester: Arts & humanities distinguished
  • Foxbury: Science & tech distinguished

Take 1–4 classes per term — more classes mean faster graduation but more stress.

If your Sim keeps a GPA above 3.9, they graduate With Honors, which also gives great benefits.

The best path? Distinguished degree with honors — it unlocks top career levels faster, like Judge in Law.

How to Prepare Before Applying

To get into distinguished degrees or win scholarships, prepare early.

If your Sim is an A student in high school, that helps.
Boost your Sim’s skills a bit before applying — you don’t need to max them.
It’s quicker to have several skills at mid-level than one skill maxed out.

Check the guides below to see which skills matter most before applying.

How to Get Scholarships

Your Sim can get scholarships based on: Where they live, Family income, Activities like Scouts, Skill levels.

Skill-based scholarships unlock once your Sim has at least level 3 in a skill.
Level 5 gives even better chances of winning and getting into distinguished degrees.

Focus on skills that match your chosen degree. This way, your Sim can get 1–2 extra scholarships and boost acceptance odds.

Tip: You can apply for more scholarships later, even after the first try.
Scholarship cooldown is about a week, so keep applying if your Sim gains new skills.

Skill-Based Scholarships

University Scholarships List and Tips

Here are all the main scholarships your Sim can apply for:

Location-Based

For living in any world (e.g., Willow Creek, Forgotten Hollow). No way to boost your odds, but still worth trying

Needs-Based

  • Education for All ($400): Household property under $25k and less than $2,500 cash
  • Helping Hand ($250): Property between $80k–$100k and cash around $10–15k

Merit-Based

($500): Only for Sims accepted into a Distinguished Degree — apply after you get in

Super Scout ($175)

Need at least rank 2 in Scouts; higher ranks improve chances

Workplace Scholar ($300)

Need at least rank 3 in any career (including part-time teen jobs)

Tip: Meeting these requirements lets you apply, but doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the scholarship.

Second Degrees and Beyond

After earning your first degree, any additional degrees need fewer credits.
Instead of 12, second (and later) degrees require only 8 credits each.

This reflects skipping general education courses you’ve already completed.

Applying for School and Degree Overview

You can pay for university using Student Loans if needed.
Scholarships usually cover some classes but not all dorm housing costs.

Apply for university through your Sim’s mailbox. After a few days, you’ll get a letter showing which degrees you’re accepted for at each school.

If accepted into a Distinguished Degree, remember to apply for the Merit-Based Scholarship.
