Bloomspire Passive Ability & Variants
Using a specific flower item on Bloomspire unlocks one of its three visual variants. Once unlocked, you can switch between any variant freely at any time.
- Bloomspire: Blooming Splendor — unlocked using a Dream Orchid
- Bloomspire: Twisted Toxins — unlocked using a Toxic Lotus
- Bloomspire: Slumbering Elegance — unlocked using a Living Lotus

How to Get the Bloomspire Rod — Step by Step
Step 1: Reach the Living Garden
Living Garden is the only place where you can summon the Bloomspire rod. Here’s how to get there:
- At Moosewood Village, spawn a boat and head northeast to reach the Lost Jungle island.
- From Shipwright, walk left along the river to find the Oliver NPC. Complete his quest by gathering five workers from the oil rig. This removes the boulder blocking Toxic Grove’s entrance.
- Purchase the Gas Mask for 75,000 C$ and enter the Toxic Cave.
- Inside, speak with the Olivia NPC and complete her quest to receive the Toxic-Proof Raft. You need this to cross the toxic rivers and reach Living Garden.
Important: Don’t skip Olivia’s quest. Without the Toxic-Proof Raft, you cannot cross the toxic rivers leading to Living Garden.
Step 2: Catch the Flower Guardian
The Flower Guardian is an Exotic-tier fish that only spawns during a Flower Guardian Hunt event near Living Garden. You can trigger this event as a reward for opening flowers in the area.
During a Hunt, your Fish Radar marks the active pool in magenta. The fish despawns after 10 minutes, so act quickly.
Best fishing setup: Use a rod with high Resilience and Control, and equip Kraken Tentacle or Thorn Cluster as bait.
Missed the window? If the Flower Guardian despawned, open more flowers near Living Garden to trigger a new Hunt event.
Step 3: Collect a Valid Lotus Seed
Near Living Garden, you’ll find unopened purple flowers. Interact with them to open them and receive a random Lotus seed. There are five possible seeds, but only three will work for summoning Bloomspire:

Got a Living or Rotted Seed? These won’t summon Bloomspire. Keep opening flowers until you receive a Cyan, Violet, or Canary seed.
Step 4: Summon and Purchase the Rod
- Plant a valid seed (Cyan, Violet, or Canary) at the Living Garden.
- Hold the Flower Guardian in front of the planted seed. The Bloomspire rod will spawn.
- Spend 1,250,000 C$ to purchase it.
Tip: You must be actively holding the Flower Guardian — not just having it in your inventory. The rod won’t spawn otherwise.
