Detective Duck The Bakery Case Walkthrough and Solution

Case #0012 — The Bakery Heist

Culprit: Arthur, the Postal Worker
Delivery Code: 365
Main goal: Collect the required evidence, confirm the delivery code, and accuse Arthur.

If you want to solve The Bakery Heist quickly, follow the steps below in order. You will need to collect the Golden Coin, call 12375, get the Manhole Keys, unlock the bakery, obtain the Lockpick, reach the upper room with the ladder, and use the UV light to find delivery code 365. Entering 365 on the bakery’s delivery panel confirms Arthur as the culprit.

Detective Duck The Bakery Case Walkthrough

1. Collect the Street Evidence

Start near the police car.

Click the tire marks on the road beside the police car. This adds The Marks to your evidence.

Next, equip the Magnifying Glass and inspect the brown door next to the bakery.

A fingerprint will appear on the door. Collect it and return to the police car.

Select Analyze to examine the fingerprint. This adds Elias, the Room 5 Resident, to the suspect board.

2. Talk to Grandpa

Find Grandpa sitting on the bench near the bakery.

Talk to him.

Grandpa gives you a Golden Coin. He also says he saw the thief throw a key from a van window into a nearby manhole.

You will need the coin to use the phone booth.

3. Call 12375

Find the poster that says:

“NEED CITY ASSISTANCE? CALL 12375!”

Go to the nearby phone booth.

Put the Golden Coin into the phone booth to activate it.

Enter 12375 and press DIAL.

The operator confirms that the manhole keys will be delivered.

4. Get the Manhole Keys

Wait for Tommy, the delivery driver, to arrive.

Tommy drops off a package.

Open the package to get the Manhole Keys. Tommy’s information is also added to the suspect board.

5. Get the Bakery Keys

Take the Manhole Keys to the sewer grate near the police car.

Use the keys on the grate.

Inside, you will find the Bakery Keys.

6. Enter the Bakery

Return to the bakery.

Use the Bakery Keys to unlock the door and enter.

Click the vanilla powder on the floor to collect the evidence.

Next, go behind the counter and take a donut from the pastry display case.

7. Trade the Donut for the Garage Key

Take the donut outside and give it to Greg, the angry customer.

Greg calms down and gives you the Garage Key.

Use the Garage Key to open the garage.

Inside the garage, pick up the Lockpick from the table.

8. Unlock the Storage Room

Return to the bakery.

Use the Lockpick on the storage room door.

A lockpicking minigame will start.

Hit the GOOD zone three times to open the door.

Once inside, pick up the Bag of Vanilla Flour from the floor.

This is the stolen flour from the case.

9. Investigate the Storage Room

There are several important items in the storage room.

Inspect the yellow poster on the wall. This adds Beatrice, the Rival Baker, to the suspect board.

Then use the Magnifying Glass on the freezer.

Collect the fingerprint and return to the police car to analyze it.

This adds Sam, the Baker’s Co-Worker, to the suspect board.

Finally, pick up the Expandable Ladder from the storage room.

10. Use the Ladder to Reach the Upper Room

Take the Expandable Ladder outside the bakery.

Place it beneath the upper-level window.

Climb the ladder and enter the room above the bakery.

Search the room carefully.

You need to collect two keys:

Building Entrance Key: On the dresser.

Room Four Key: Under the pillow on the bed.

11. Enter Room 4

Take the Building Entrance Key to the apartment building.

Use it to unlock the building’s main entrance.

Then use the Room Four Key to enter Room 4.

Inside, find the letter on the bed.

The letter is an important clue, but don’t accuse Marcus yet.

12. Use the UV Light on the Letter

Equip the UV Light and shine it on the letter.

Hidden text appears.

The hidden text gives you the delivery code: 365

Remember this code. You need it to identify the culprit.

The letter is designed to make Marcus, the Room 4 resident, look guilty. It mentions robbing the bakery and bringing fuel from a friend.

However, Marcus is not the culprit.

13. Enter Delivery Code 365

Return to the bakery.

Go to the delivery panel inside the storage room.

Before entering the code, the panel says:

DELIVERED BY: NO ONE

Enter: 365

The panel changes to:

DELIVERED BY: Arthur

The game also confirms that you found the correct delivery code.

Arthur, the Postal Worker, is added to the suspect board as Suspect #7.

This confirms the culprit.

Who Is the Culprit in The Bakery Case?

Arthur, the Postal Worker, is the culprit.

The strongest confirmation is the delivery panel.

Entering 365 changes the delivery information to Arthur.

Arthur also drives a white postal van for work. This matches the case information that the thief escaped in a van.

His job also gives him a legitimate reason to visit the bakery because he delivers ingredient invoices there.

The clues pointing toward Marcus and Elias are misleading. The delivery panel provides the confirmation you need before making the accusation.

How to Finish the Bakery Case

Once the delivery panel identifies Arthur, you can end the investigation.

Equip your Phone.

Select END INVESTIGATION.

Confirm the message that warns you that you will be moved to the interrogation room.

In the interrogation room, select:

Arthur — The Postal Worker

Then choose ACCUSE.

In co-op, the accusation goes to a vote. The game uses the most-voted suspect to determine the accusation.

You have solved the case correctly when the game displays:

“Well done, Detective. You caught the right suspect.”

Make sure the delivery panel shows Arthur before accusing anyone. A wrong accusation fails the case, and the accusation cannot be undone.

You can still investigate them if you want the complete case information.

Quick Solution

If you already know the route and only want to finish the case, follow this order:

Golden Coin → Call 12375 → Tommy’s package → Manhole Keys → Bakery Keys → Vanilla Flour → Donut → Greg’s Garage Key → Lockpick → Bag of Vanilla Flour → Expandable Ladder → Building Entrance Key → Room Four Key → UV Light → Code 365 → Arthur → End Investigation → Accuse Arthur

The two most important codes are:

12375 — Phone booth

365 — Bakery delivery panel

Once the delivery panel changes to “DELIVERED BY: Arthur,” you have the confirmation needed to close Case #0012.
