If you are stuck in Housebound on Roblox, follow this walkthrough from the beginning to the ending. You’ll need to find the house key, complete Grandma’s chores, investigate her disappearance, get the bolt cutters and rust remover, and then escape the house.

1. How to get the house key
You start outside the house without a key.
Go around to the back of the house and find the shed. You cannot open it yet, so climb the treehouse nearby.
Inside the treehouse, read the note on the table. It gives you the shed code:
Shed code: 476
Return to the shed and enter 476 to unlock it. Take the house key from inside.
Use the key on the front door to enter the house.
2. Complete Grandma’s chores
After entering the house, go through the door on the right to reach the kitchen. Read the note to see Grandma’s chores.
Put away the three toys
Find these three toys:
- Rocket ship: Behind Grandma in the living room
- Teddy bear: Next to the TV in the living room
- Football: In the bathroom
Take all three toys upstairs and put them in the open box in the room with the note on the door.
Complete the homework
Return to the kitchen and interact with the homework on the table beside the computer.
Enter the answers in this order: 9 → 8 → 11 → 8 → 5 → 3
Start the washing machine
You need a flashlight before going into the basement.
Go upstairs and enter the first room on the right. Open the drawer under the TV and take the flashlight.
Next, take the drawer key from the area near Grandma. Use it to open the drawer outside the kitchen and collect the batteries.
Go to the bathroom and pick up the laundry.
Now enter the basement through the door in the living room and put the laundry into the washing machine.
You will hear something from the electrical room. Investigate it to continue the story.
Give Grandma her medicine
Go upstairs and enter the remaining room you have not explored. Take the medicine and give it to Grandma.
This completes the chores.
3. Find Grandma
After finishing the final chore, return to the kitchen. You will receive a call and hear an unknown voice.
Go upstairs to Grandma’s room.
At first, Grandma appears to be sleeping. When you try to leave, the power goes out.
Go downstairs to the electrical room and interact with the switches. Explore the area until the game tells you that you should tell Grandma what you found.
Return to Grandma’s room.
Interact with her again and discover that something is seriously wrong: only her head is there.
Immediately go to the bathroom.
You will find Grandma’s body in the bathtub. Take the house key and try to leave the house.
You won’t get far. An unknown person with a chainsaw stops you and the game moves you to the next section.
4. Get the bolt cutters
You now need to escape the new area.
First, take the screwdriver from the body nearby. Keep it because you will need it later.
Use the screwdriver to open the panel in the room. Crouch and go through the opening.
Open the drawer inside to get:
- Scissors
- Rusty flashlight
Continue through the area and find the way down from the attic.
The energy bar under the TV is optional, so you can ignore it if you don’t need it.
Continue past the pool-table area and avoid the chainsaw enemy.
When you reach the stairs leading down, look for the room beside the stairs.
Inside is a clock.
Solve the clock puzzle
Change the clock to: 3:30
A note will drop and reveal the keypad code: 8352
Find the locked cupboard and enter 8352.
Inside, you will get the bolt cutters.
5. Get the rust remover
The bolt cutters unlock several important parts of the house. Your next objective is to get the Rust Remover.
Get the frozen head
Go to the basement.
Use the bolt cutters on the sealed freezer to obtain the frozen head.
Get the garage key
Go to the kitchen and collect the matches.
Then find the room containing the portraits.
Arrange the portraits in this order:
Boy → Car → Wrench → Man
Solving the puzzle gives you the garage key.
You can use it to access the garage and obtain the gas can, although it is not the main item you need for the next puzzle.
Get the key from the frozen head
Go to the room next to the pool-table room.
Use the matches to light the fireplace.
Place the frozen head in the fireplace. This reveals a key inside its mouth.
Take the key.
Open the briefcase
Explore the ground floor until you find the room with the projector.
The projector displays: IBRBDLIL
Remember this code.
Return to the pool-table room and use IBRBDLIL to open the briefcase.
Inside, take the coffin key.
Get the coin
Go upstairs and find the room blocked by chains.
Use the bolt cutters to open it.
Take the cranker inside.
Bring the cranker downstairs to the room with the Happy Birthday sign.
Use it on the music box and make the ballerina complete one full spin.
You will receive a coin.
Get the dog food
Take the coin to the claw machine on the ground floor.
Use the coin to obtain dog food.
Take the dog food upstairs and put it in the dog’s bowl.
The dog gives you a chest key.
Get the Rust Remover
Return to the ground-floor bathroom.
Find the chest on top of the washing machine and unlock it with the chest key.
Inside is the item you need: Rust Remover
6. Escape Housebound
You now have the final item needed to escape.
Find the room containing the rusted valve.
Use the Rust Remover on the valve and turn it until you can access the opening in the floor.
Crouch down and use the screwdriver to remove the panel blocking the way.
Go through the opening to finally escape the house.
Keep moving forward and cross the docks.
Continue toward the barn-like shed and then proceed to the elevator.
The final cutscene begins, completing the game.
