How to Get Dogbane Herb
There are currently two main ways to get Dogbane Herb:
- Chests: Dogbane has a 4% chance to drop from chests.
- Swamp Trees: Chopping trees in the Swamp with an Axe can also drop Dogbane. Current wiki data lists a 5% chance.
Fishing can also give you chests, so fishing is another way to work toward Dogbane.
Where to Use Dogbane Herb
Take the Dogbane Herb to the Mud Witch’s hut in the Swamp.
Give her the herb and choose one of these options:

What Happens When You Reduce Your Age?
Dogbane reduces your age by 20 years, but your character cannot go below 18 years old.

Your age normally increases when you die:
- Death: +1–2 years
- Combat logging: +5–10 years
Because of this, Dogbane is useful for reversing age gained through deaths and combat logging.
Don’t Waste Your Dogbane
Before giving Dogbane to the Mud Witch, check your age and decide whether you actually want to remove your Stand.
If you’re already 18, using Dogbane for age reduction won’t make you younger. Likewise, don’t choose the Moola option simply because it’s available if you may soon need the herb to remove your Stand or reduce your age.
Which Dogbane Option Should You Choose?
Choose based on what you need:
- Reduce your age if you want to keep your current character young.
- Wipe your Stand if you want to remove your current Stand and try for another one.
- Take 2,500 Moola if you need money and don’t currently need the other two effects.
