Admin Commands in American Plains Mudding (APM)

American Plains Mudding (APM) is one of Roblox’s most detailed off-road roleplay games. Its admin command system gives private server owners powerful tools to control weather, movement, and player permissions.

Here’s everything you need to know.

What You Need Before Using Commands

Admin commands in APM are not available to all players by default. Two conditions must be met:

1. Advanced Commands Gamepass

You must own the official Advanced Commands gamepass for APM. It costs 85 Robux and is purchasable directly from the game’s Roblox page.

Without gamepass, none of the commands below will work.

2. A Private Server You Own or Have Access To

Commands only function inside private servers. They will not work in public game sessions, even if you own the gamepass.

All APM Admin Commands

The following commands are confirmed in the official gamepass description. The developers have noted that more commands will be added in future updates.

:weather storm [1–10] — Weather Control

Spawns a tornado-level storm in your server. The number sets the intensity — 1 is a minor storm, 10 is the most extreme event possible.

At high levels, the storm can physically fling players and vehicles across the map.

This command is great for testing storm-chasing vehicles or creating a chaotic session with friends.

:fly [username] [speed] — Flight Mode

Enables flight for the specified player at a custom speed. For example, typing :fly me 500 gives yourself fast flight.

Useful for scouting the map, finding stuck vehicles, or getting an aerial view of an active storm.

:unfly — Disable Flight

Turns off flight mode and returns your avatar to the ground.

Note: this command is widely used in the community but is not explicitly listed in the official gamepass description, so it may behave differently depending on the game version.

:admin [username] — Grant Admin Rights

Temporarily gives another player in your private server access to all the same admin commands.

Admin rights are session-only — if the server restarts or the player leaves and rejoins, you will need to use the command again.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you spawn trucks or vehicles using commands?

No. APM does not use text commands to spawn vehicles. All trucks, trailers, and other vehicles are managed through the in-game garage GUI using your saved in-game currency. This is intentional — APM is a roleplay and progression game, not a free-build sandbox.

Do admin rights carry over between sessions?

No. The :admin command only grants permissions for the current active server session. If the server restarts or the player disconnects and reconnects, the server owner needs to run the command again.

How do you survive a high-level storm?

Level 10 storms are genuinely dangerous in-game and can throw players and regular vehicles across the map. Community players recommend using storm-chasing or heavy-duty vehicles designed for severe weather. Standard trucks are unlikely to hold their ground at maximum intensity.

Do commands work in public servers?

No. Admin commands are restricted to private servers only. Even if you own the gamepass, they will have no effect in a public session.

Where can I find more help?

The official APM Roblox Group and the game’s Discord server are the best places to get support, report bugs, and stay updated on new commands as the game receives updates.
