In Counter-Strike 2, turn on your mic by going to Settings → Audio → Voice → Enable Voice (Press to Use Mic or Open Mic), set your key in Keyboard/Mouse → Communication → Use Mic, and increase Input Volume or lower Threshold if you’re too quiet.
Turn On Mic
Go to:
Settings → Audio → Voice → Enable Voice → Select “Press to Use Mic” or “Open Mic.”
If this is OFF, your mic will not work.
Change Mic Button (Push-to-Talk Key)
Go to:
Settings → Keyboard/Mouse → Communication → Use Mic → Press your new key.
That key will now activate your microphone.
Increase Mic Volume
- Go to: Settings → Audio → Voice
- Increase Input Volume
- Lower Voice Threshold
- Increase Voice Transmission Volume if needed
If still low:
Increase mic level in Windows Sound Settings → Input → Volume, then restart the game.
Quick Fix If Mic Is Not Working in CS2
- Enable Voice is ON (Settings → Audio → Voice)
- Correct Use Mic key is set and you’re holding it (if push-to-talk)
- Mic is not muted physically
- Correct microphone is selected in Windows Sound → Input
- Restart the game after changes
